"I'm talkin' about love your neighbor 'til it hurts! I'm talkin' about grab your friend! I'm talkin' about some love, I'm talkin' about some love, I'm talking about some love, I'm talkin' about love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love! Grab your (expletive) friend and love him! Come on! Yeah!"
- Jim Morrison, March 1, 1969, Dinner Key Auditorium, Miami
Did Jim Morrison, frontman of the popular 60's group The Doors, expose himself at the concert in Miami 1969? That is the question Governor Charlie Crist asks, as he wants to pardon Jim Morrison's conviction from 1969 of public exposure. Gov. Crist is convinced that Morrison in fact didn't expose himself, and has started a new investigation about what really happened that day. Jim Morrison was sentenced to 6 months in jail and a 500$ fine, Jim never did his jail time.
The Doors' drummer John Densmore has been interviewed by the investigators and he denies that Jim would've exposed himself during the show. Though he admits that Morrison's singing was a bit off that night, and that he was drunk. At one point of the show Jim did stick his hands in his pants and tried to open the belt buckle but according to official sources he failed to open it. (picture)
At another point Jim brought a living lamb up on the stage and started talking about having sex with it, but then stated : "She's too young!".
